Post by: mozer67 on March 19, 2013, 08:04:49 PM
Going to buy a sumtoy choke for my 870 this weekend and am having trouble deciding which constriction, .665 or .670 ?
I have a 23" bbl and I will trying out winchester supreme HV 3.5" #5 shot 2oz &
winchester 3" #4 shot 1 7/8 oz
I am looking for a good hunting pattern, not too tight, out to around 40 yrds.
Thanks for any help you can give me !

With the 5 and 4 shot size, I'd go for the 670.

I can't say for a Remington, but what I would recommend is that you call William from Sumtoy & tell him what ammo you want to use and he will be able to point you in the right direction. He is a class act & give good advice.....

Tell William the exact shell you want to shoot.  He'll get you fixed up right.
