Title: Magnum blends.
Post by: chrmayo on March 19, 2013, 06:14:55 PM
Anyone have good patterns with 3.5" mag blends. I have a 935 and rhino .695. I'm gonna see how they do tommorrow after work if weather cooperates.

All Hevi 13 is great... but the #7's are #1 in my book.

Shoots 190's in the 10" and very even at 40 yards through a jellyhead .660 in my 870 SM.

Same gun/choke does 270's with Hevi 7's

Both will do the job, but the 7's kick way less and a more dense pattern to boot.

I agree with you vroom! Except I'm using a SumToy .665...Them MagBlends are some kicking SOBs! I'd much rather shoot the 7s with higher numbers and less kick

They kick more because they are going faster I guess.

I think 30% deader with Mag Blends due to velocity than dead with 7's LOL

With 3.5 MB in my 20" 835 I was getting 220's with a JH and 209 with a PG.  The 3" dropped down to 157 with the PG choke.

I'm getting good numbers with the MagBlend out of my 835 through a Rhino Choke (.695) for what it's worth.
