Title: How to tell the date of a 835?

Guys it's probably been asked on here before, but I didn't have any luck with the search function. Is there a way to tell the age of a Mossberg 835? I have two of them I want to buy limbsaver recoil pads for, but what little bit of reading I've done limbsaver makes a pre and post 1999"?" I think that's the date. I have done a google search but didn't have much luck there either.  As of now I'm on hold with Mossberg customer service but I still have 20 minutes to wait, so its not guaranteed I'll wait on the phone that long.Thank you for your time and help.

I emailed mossberg customer service with the mod# and ser# and in two days I had all the info I needed.

Thanks guys. I emailed Mossberg and they told me one is a 98 and the other is a 99.

I called Mossberg and after being on hold for 30 minutes, the guy told me I would have to email him the serial #. I sent him an email that night and had the answer by 9:00 or so the next morning. I will try to find his email address and post it on here. He told me there was no way for us to tell the date by our serial number, so we have to go through Mossberg, if there is an equation I haven't figured it out yet.
