Title: Hevi shot???
Post by: rdfirenut on March 06, 2011, 04:44:50 PM
Any problems shooting the Hevi-shot
thru a ported choke?
Any safety issues or patterning
problems?

Thanks for your help,
  R.D.

i bought a choke made by primos and it is for shooting the hevi-shot .i have tried remington nitro#5's and i have tried fed supreme #6's both in 3" shells and neither one patterns as well as the hevi-shot #5's through the ported choke from primos..guess i found my 40 yard ammo to go with the choke..now,,,,,,,come on turkey season

As stated, the only thing you need to make sure of is the choke is rated for Hevi Shot.  Most these days are but just make sure.  Ported is aok.
