Title: Hey from Augusta County, VA

I just wanted to stop in and stay "Hey".
I've been lurking here for a while.
I'm big into hunting whatever season is in
at the time.
My heart is in dogs.
Grew up with coon hounds and a few bear hounds.
Then got into rabbit beagles, 16 or so years.
Now, my son has gotten us into
squirrel dogs.

I've only killed 1 turkey in the spring, about 10 yrs ago.
My son killed 1 last year with a rifle, 185yds with a .222 .
Last year was the 1st time I ever patterned a shotgun.
I've got a couple of different shells I want to check before
this season.
Thanks for letting me ramble.

 :welcomeOG: Like to hunt turkeys, and squirrels, have hunted the hills before but that was a few years ago. Back when the season used to come in earlier up there than down here in the eastern part of the state.  I might have killed my first fall turkey up there. I rember my buddy told me I would be able to tell a young turkey calling, had never heard one before.

Sometimes memories are the best part.   :anim_25:
