Title: picatinny rail question
Post by: reynolds243 on March 12, 2013, 11:06:29 PM
I have a stoeger m2000 i use for turkey hunting and it is drilled and tapped for the Weaver 93a mount. However i have a FF3 i have mounted on it now and seems the only 2 slots are all the way up or all the way back. does anyone know where i can get a picatinny rail with the same specs as the weaver 93a???

Evolution Gun Works makes a pic rail to the weaver 93 specs.  Very nice rail too!

im trying to figure what the difference is in the 93 and 93a base.....i find some that say all benelli's/Stoeger use the 93 and others that say only the 93a base.

I am pretty positive it has the 93a base on it now.

I believe they are the same, but with different cross slots.  If you talk to the guys at EGW, they should know.   I have spoken to them in the past and tehy have been very helpful.

I tell you what...send me your address and I will send you my EGW base.  I sold my Benelli and its just sitting here.  I dont know if I have the screws for it, but thats an easy fix for you.

there is an option called Rib Riders that bolt onto the rib of a shotgun that you could check to see if that was an option for you...  just a thought

93A doesn't leave many choices, does it?  :D

Weaver has the Matte 93AT Multi-Slot Rail for most Benellis. Part #48339.  Found one at Able's Ammo.  I'm guessing it will fit your M2000.

I don't mind the long base, and I really like the idea of 4 screws, I've seen more than one 2-screw bases fail in the field, but that was probably due to the nut behind the gun....
