Title: Original winchester xtended range
Post by: Quax on March 12, 2013, 07:45:45 PM
Came across a box of the original xtended range 3-1.75-6. In general, how does this shell liked to be choked vs the original: same, tighter, more open? Shot from either an inv + or Mobil choke.

Thanks!

I have found no difference in my gun from the original Xtended Range shell and the Elite Xtended Range shell.  They pattern the same for me.

As tight as you can get it. Nothing more open than .650. That was a very unique shell that responds more like a lead shot shell or an original H-13 "OW" shells than anything else. I've shot hundreds of them and the SSX or a Wright's #3 is is an excellent choice.

Thanks,
Clark
