OK time to start another giveaway. This time it's a Black Magic diaphragm and I need you to tell what's the most creepy or unexplainable thing you've saw while hunting. Pictures would be nice on this one.
I'll Draw for the call Friday March 15
I found a moonshine still once while deer hunting. It had been there for years and come to find out it was my great uncles.
Not really creepy, but it scared the hell out of me. Had a coyote run up behind me and swiped at my back pack. Guess he figured out I wasn't a meal and took off running. That followed by me on a jog to the deer stand, haha

Not sure if this qualifies for the topic but creeped me out to see it. Once when i was bowhunting i saw a bobcat chasing a fox squirrel and at one point it was running or i guess ud call it jumping from tree to tree as fast as the squirrel was running on the ground and ended up catching it
Some years back I was bowhunting for whitetail deer sitting around 18 feet high in a portable treestand waiting for daylight to come when I felt something tap me on the top of my cap!Couldn't see yet so I just sat quietly and didn't move. In about 5 minutes I felt it tap me on the top of the cap again!By this time it was beginning to break daylight so believe me I was looking around to see who or what was doing this(I'm not sure if I believe in ghosts or not?)When I looked behind me I saw a small owl sitting on a limb looking at me.I tried to shoo him off but he just sat there looking at me.I finally stood up and waved my hat at him and he flew off.Would of been funny if he had took my hat off my head.I must have been to close to the nest
crazy story roosted a gobbler so i sneak in there in the mornin turnin daybreak he gobbles i hear somethin walkin commin right to me here its a stinkin skunk walked literally 4 feet off my leg never sprayed played there for 10 min. here i was 5 feet off his hole couldnt do a thing didnt know what was more inportant not getting sprayed or getting the gobbler needless to say gobbler lived and i didnt get sprayed guess we all won but he sure ruined my hunt so definetly pretty creepy and one of a kind every time i go huntin on a roosted bird early this story is the first thing i think of dang skunk ruined me for life
Not really sure why I'm telling this..but last year I hunted a perticular spot several times with a buddy. The last time we were going in..the moon was out but no other light..we walked up on "something" that really gave him a scare and me in the process. We realized that something was in the road in front of us that didn't belong there. The bad thing was..it was about 10 feet tall! Oh, and we were like about 4 steps from hitting it. Well...after several seconds of both thinking "What the (fill in the blank) is that and where did it come from" we flipped on a light to discover that a small pine tree had leaned waay over into the road. All we knew was that nothing was supposed to be in the road!
This has been the cause of a bunch of laughs since then now that we know that we didn't discover Bigfoot.
Bowhunting for whitetail deer in Knasas...walking in to stand about 4:30AM pitch dark ....field edge along a deep creek.
Suddenly hear about 10-15 yards away by the creek the loudest screaming noise I've ever head...must have been a bobcat or cougar.
I'd rather not experience that again.
WOW last year while turkey hunting i had something follow me in the woods ,At first i heard it it was the most messed up sound i have heard it the woods to date, i have hunted for 37 years .so first i heard it did not pay much attention to it ,so i move and after 10 minutes it was back this time i started to look around to see if it was my buddy playing with me ,nothing , so i make a big move 300 yards after a few minutes its back and louder well this time i take out my phone and start to video for 5 minutes and then i went home now i am a big guy 6'5'' 320 lbs with a gun and it still sent me out of the woods ..i will try to post up the video later
Indian burial ground on the side of a canyon in the Davis Mtns. in SW Texas. Really creepy.
Several stills in SE Oklahoma.

Was squirrel hunting on some state ground late one summer and happened upon someone's pot patch. Most potheads aren't violent types, but you never know. Just glad I've never run into any meth labs

Walked up on a guy on public woods that looked like the guy from deliverance. I left before I had to squeal like a pig.
While bowhunting deer in northern Utah, I stepped off a trail as a flock of sheep moved past me heading down to winter pasture. Slowly the herd began to thin out and the shepherd rode past on his horse. I proceeded to head up the trail and passed a few stragglers trying to catch up with the main herd. Just as the last of the sheep passed me, a mountain lion jumped off of a stone outcropping and sailed over my head.... landing a few yards across the trail and heading up the mountain to my side. I turned around and followed the rest of the sheep out of the area.
This past spring while turkey hunting I had a big sow and four cubs come through... I seen them at fifty yds thought if I did something the sow would get a little mad and could get bad ... So a few min later mother comes be hind the blind where there windows are closed she
Brushes up against me and starts smelling the blind where I got in ... Walks around the blind and sticks her head in ...our faces were mere inches apart ... I yelled get out of here and she runs off 30 yds and stands there popping her jaws before walking off.... I kept fairly calm until I was walking to my truck and it really sank in what just happened... A bear inches from my face
Uh..you win.
a hawk coming at me sitting in a tree stand, had to raise my bow to shew him away
Last winter I was riding through my buddy's camp at night when I saw a little field mouse run right in front of my headlights, and just as I realized what it was an owl comes blasting through my driver's side window! Shattered the window completely and was flapping around like a chicken with its head cut off inside the truck. Had open the door and jump out to let him get out. Still finding glass shards in my truck
It was Nov.1, the day after Halloween, I was walking to my tree stand that morning and had to walk by a cemetery. That was creepy enough but as I got by it I started to hear movement to my right on the other side of the tree line. Everytime i walked it would walk, everytime I stopped it stopped. Each time I shined my light that way I couldn't see anything. It was that way for most of the way to my stand. Finally at some point I said the heck with this and ran to my stand not caring if I made noise or not. Figured I was safer up a tree than having to go back up to and through the cemetery. To this day I don't know what it was but it had me shaking and my head was on a swivel.

Had a real similar encounter years ago with a bear that was raiding our camp. Basically, I hear a noise one morning, ease up to look out the tent window and there was the biggest, blackest bear I had seen. Hackles come up, bear growls real low, huffs and thanfully heads off into the woods.
20 yrs. ago...a true story.....
Came upon a old man in the mountains of western NC one time that appeared from the back of an old over-grown cemetery we were hunting near. He was wearing old yellow rain bibs and an old white thermal underwear top. He had a dog with him. It was 1 o'clock in the afternoon.
He was carrying a shovel and an old railroad pry bar.
He was covered from head-to-toe in blood....so was the dog....and the shovel....and the bar...........
Was sit up on a gobbler once & a small sparrow lit on the end of my gun barrel.
Was trout fishing one time & stepped down over a steep bank & a couple was doing the nasty along the creek bank.

i was out listening for birds in morning.. i located 2 and decided to set up on them the next day. So i got there early and set decoy up in field) . i sat with my back against the woods and it was all thick with jaggers and brush right there. i was getting calls out and listening. all of a sudden i hear this deep inhale and then exhale it sounded 20 yards or so off.. then like a minute later i heard it again , now it was closer it was like something was tryin to smell me??? not sure ? so i took gun off safety cause i dont no what the !##@@#@ this is . i am sitting there and i hear it again.... its a deep inhale then exhale and its within 10 yards. now keep in mind it is right behind me and it is so thick back there i never heard this thing make a noise coming in at all!!!! i turned around............... nothing..shined light ....................nothing.. what the heck.. i never heard it leave!!!! this still keeps me creeped out talking about it.. well i never heard a bird and didnt stay there much past light.. i kept on looking back there when i was leaving.. i dont no what this was and prolly never will but this has to be the scariest thing that ever happened to me in the Pa. woods .
I was walking back to my truck one afternoon after turkey huntin.got almost to the bed of the truck and a stray bulldog run from under it and that sucka was trying to eat me up. Had to jump in the back of my truck so he couldnt bite me.Needless to say scared the heck out of me.very unexpected
Packing up from archery hunting with a portable treestand. It was dark and I was gathering my stuff together and a weasel came to check me out. Hung on the side of the tree I was hunting out of about 2 feet away from me. I don't know if it was my headlamp but his eye's glowed blood red. He followed me for a while but I was finally able to loose him.
I had to climb a very steep bluff one night to retrieve my coondog. I climbed up to a overhang to find out I couldnt go any farther. When I looked down I seen a toothe brush thinking a coon may have brought it there from the river. But as I looked around I found a pan, folded and unfolded socks, a blanket and a tarp. There was a recess there in the bluff under the overhang almost perfect size for some to sleep.
Years back i talked my dad in going out one spring morning and we walked to the top of the mountain. As we was standing on the appalachian trail waitin for a bird to gobble we heard something below us and all of a sudden a hiker stands up to wipe his butt my dad looked at me and said lets get out of here!!!

Ok, that freaks me out. You win!
Joey I figured you would post the "country Club" photo.
I completely forgot about that! When I get back home tonight I'll put that up.
It's not really that creepy but I haven't hunted that long. One day in turkey season I was walking around and calling and I heard a noise I'd never heard before and it followed me for about 45 minutes. When I got home I described the noise and my dad said it was a rain crow.
This is not overly creepy, but random/weird. This is located near the OK/KS border pretty far off the the main roads. Funny, though.

Yeah it's on public land to boot. Talk about a Camp Ground!!!
Also same place where joey and me need a Bridge and guess what was there. A Bridge you could drive a truck across complett with gaurd rails in the middle of a WMA. Used to be an old road there befor they built the lake. Still kinda neat though.

That bridge was random. We were trying to figure out how to cross this creek, not overly deep water, but DEEP mud. Then we see a bridge, a perfectly fine bride!
