Title: 12 GAUGE FEDERAL HW #7 USERS--10 ROUND BOX VS 5 ROUND BOX PATTERNS????
Post by: SKFOOTER on March 07, 2013, 02:10:59 PM
For those of you who have used the 12 gauge Federal HW #7's for a while, have you noticed a difference in the pattern numbers between those in the original 10 round box versus those in the 5 round box??? :OGturkeyhead:

Funny you should ask, and my answer is yes. 3 years ago I bought 2 10round boxes of 3" Federal Heviewights in the #7 shot. Last year I purchased 3 5 round boxes of the same shells. I find that the 5 round boxes are about 20 to 30 pellets less when I was shooting at paper, in the 10".

Have been looking for more of the 10 round boxes but am not having much luck.

Wjy do you ask????

I am asking this question because I found a couple of the 10 round boxes of the 3.5" HW 7's and plan on patterning some of them this weekend and compare them to those that I have shot :OGturkeyhead: from the 5 round boxes.
