Has anybody shot the IC blackdiamond for a remchoke with a .650 restriction. There standard for the rem is .665 but I know someone selling one and was thinking of giving it a try. I didnt even know they had one in n.650.
I shot a .655 and it did about 250 in a 10" with Hevi-13 2oz #7's. I honestly think .650 in that choke is getting too tight and will hurt you more than will a more open choke. That's my advice. I would look for a .670 choke.
That's going off of my 28" barrel 870.
How long of barrel do you have. And are we talking 3" or 3.5?
Indian Creek claims that a .655 RemChoke will shoot all Lead loads well. That .650 might be pretty mean with Lead loads.

And I was basing that what I said on Hevi-13 loads. I don't shoot lead anymore. But I did used to use a Hastings .640 when I did. It shot lead well.
And Mike and Stuart can make any size choke that a customer wants as long as it's in the realm of safe dimensions for that guage. I have been to their shop more than once and bought some chokes from them their. They do make a very good shooting choke. And they look as good as any choke I have had on the end of my barrels.

I have both the 22" and 28" and it is a super mag so watever shell patterns better 3" or 3 1/2.
I thought it was a bit tight also when I heard it. I may have to buy it just to see.
And they do look great.
Thanks for the replies guys.
I'd like to try a BDS in .655 or .650 with Lead loads myself. But I'm not in the market for chokes. My job security has gotten questionable here recently.
