Title: FF III torque?
Post by: dogwood on February 26, 2013, 02:02:02 PM
Would "snugged" do on the FF3 screws? I don't have any tool to measure inch pounds!? Do most put a drop of Loctite on the screws? Just got my 20 g drilled and tapped this weekend and eager to get it all done. I went with the 336 base. Good Luck All!!

I locktite my 336 base, but just snug the sight screws. They have the lock washer do-dads and I haven't had issues with them backing out.

I typically go with a very specific torque value of "slightly more than snug" on my own stuff.  Anywhere between that and snug should be just fine.  If you know you want to keep it on there for quite a while then go ahead and loctite it on or at least use some clear fingernail polish.
