I just put a new .670 SSX on a 20" bbl 835 this weekend.  I shot it a few times on Saturday, temps were in the high 30's so it wasn't ideal conditions.  I was very happy with the results.  I shot 3" Federal #5 (with FCW) and 3" Winchester #5 (1 7/8 oz, grey box).  Both loads shot good hunting patterns at 41 yds.  I didn't count the number of hits in a 10" circle but both loads would have killed a turkey every time.  The Federal shells had a few more small gaps in the pattern so I'm going to hunt with the Winchesters if those patterns hold up in the next few weeks.  PM me if you'd like me to send you some photos.

I've had good results with lead. The new White Lightning shell has turned in some excellent patterns.

Thanks,
