Ill be in the Venice area the last week of March and looking to possibly get some turkey hunting in while the family hits the beach. Is the Green Swamp WMA the closest public to Venice? Did I read the regs right, you can hunt it without a quota permit after the first week? Are the chances of hunting it very good during the week, or am I going to have to camp out to have a chance? What is the terrain like? Like I said this is kind of a last minute deal and would like to just get out and at least see a new area, bagging a gobbler would be icing on the cake. Any other info I might need to know that anyone could help me with would be appreciated.
I believe the quota is only the first 2 days.
