I bought a box in Wal-mart Friday night just to play with something new. It was the 3" 13/4oz #5. I shot some this morning in my BPS with the Indian Creek choke. If I don't change my mind this will be the load for this gun. I didn't take pics of teh patterns but there aint a turkey in the world that would survive a hit from these. I used W-W 3.5" 2oz #5 last year and Heavy 7. I like this better. reflexl
Were these the 1300fps loads?
Quote3" 1 3/4oz #5
Yes, that is the 1300fps load. I've patterned several of these through Indian Creek chokes myself over the last couple of years. Lots of great big #5 holes.
it's the HV in new packaging
Which Indian Creek choke you use? Ihave .655, .665 &.675. My BPS likes .675 best withwhat i shoot. Might sell the .655 soon.
.665
I just picked up some of the 3.5" 2oz Double X to compare with the High Velocities I already have. I too think they are the same thing. Not a bad thing though. I have killed alot of birds with the 3.5" 2oz #5. reflexl
I should add that I have been using the high velocity 3.5" 2oz in my 835 with a Stardot .676 and I lost count of birsd killed with it. It is one bad machine. So......this weekend I break out the 835 and see if anything has changed. reflexl
I really liked the Win XX 3" 1.75 in either 5s or 6s today.
I would take either one out of my 870 and .665 Hastings Compensator.
