When I was a kid my Dad showed me this giant Poplar tree one night while coon hunting. I remember walking around INSIDE the hollow trunk! I asked a friend yesterday if the tree was still standing after all these years and he said yes. He and my brother went and took some pics of it today. This is our friend Billy with his son beside the mammoth tree, he said they had been able to get as many as 12 people inside the tree trunk!

This big tree was 10 mins from my home. Saw it many times. It was awesome! Then vandals set it on fire, it was struck by lightning, and even had a pine growing out of the top at one point.
