Title: Quick question about Fed HW please!
Post by: nogoodreezen on February 23, 2013, 08:55:54 AM
I've never used the HW but they come highly recommended. I want to make sure I am getting the right ones. Are the shells everyone talks about the HW Mag shock? I found some but want to make sure. Thanks.

Yes.  They're an extremely finicky load due to the rigid and inflexible nature of the flight control wad.

They tend to do better out of the big bore guns (moss 835s, 935s,  brownings) than guns with tight bores such as Remingtons and benellis.

Hope you can get them to shoot.  They'll knock the heck out of a bird at 15 g/cc.

On the box it will say - High Velocity Heavyweight Turkey.  The end flap will also tell you the gauge, shell length, shot load amount , and size of shot.  It will also give you velocity of 1100 or 1300, depending on gauge.  John
