Remington 870 3.5in super mag in bottomland camo with a jellyhead choke tube. Shooting 3.5in Hevi Mag Blends
Tell me more. Barrel length and #'s. Really looking at the 20"er.

What was your count in the 10" circle?

i dont count holes in paper. i count beards on the ground
Be smart to know how reliably you can put birds down. I am not a numbers guy but I feel I owe it to the game I hunt to make sure I can deliver an ethical kill, just like checking my deer rifle' s zero before the season. How about you?
Plus I can show you what beards I have put on the ground.

Pointless thread without valid info. Unless you've shot it against other chokes then it means nothing. Not to take anything away from a jelly head, because they are great chokes, but I had better patterns in an 870 with the HeviShot choke. But..... The JH may shoot awesome patterns out of your gun, but we'll never know. We'll just have to count your beards I guess.
And don't rule out the Indian Creek .665. :OGturkeyhead:
Haha I love these threads! "Can't beat it" but I don't have any numbers to say what it would take to beat it.
Good stuff

So you start a post about how great your gun is and then out of futility, try to substantiate it with the "I don't count holes..." blah blah. From your other posts on the board, you killed a whopping 2 turkeys last year and even made the statement "I don't know if one pellet killed them or 190..." You're quite the wealth of experience and knowledge.
If you don't have empirical data, you can't objectively evaluate performance and your post is certainly of no value to the people who actually come to this site to learn through FACTUAL information. Statistics like choke constriction, barrel length, notable barrel work (I.e. Polished bore, forcing cone lengthened, etc) are all critical pieces of information. The camo pattern on your gun is not germane, in any way, to your pattern density.
Congratulations, you sound stupid. Epic fail.
I tried the Jelly Head chokes(.660 and .665) in my Rem 870. My barrel didn't like either. I got a MAD .675 and a Pure Gold .670 that throws some patterns I would put up against a lot of 870 barrels. I think the MAD .675 shoots the better patterns though for numbers.
