Title: Best "MOSSBERG or HASTINGS BRAND" turkey choke for 935?
Post by: ericsmith545 on February 22, 2013, 08:55:14 AM
I have a 935 w/ 26" barrel and the following Mossberg chokes:  Accu-Mag Ulti Full, Accu-Mag Extra Full, Accu-Mag Full.

I also have 2 Hastings extended chokes:  .675 and .685.

Out of these 5 chokes (and these 5 only), which would you recommend for the best overall turkey pattern with any given standard 3.5" load?  The only non-standard load I occasionally shoot is Federal Mag-Shok w/ Flite Control wad.  Just trying to see if anyone can save me some time and money patterning.....ammo is getting spendy!

I like the stock Ulti-Full's with lead 5's or 6's.

The Hastings 675 ought to do good with H13 #7's.

None of those will turn numbers out like you see posted by some combos here, but they will kill turkeys!

I used an 835 with a Hastings extended .690 shooting Win HV 3.5-2-6's for years.  It held up well at 40 yards, but was also somewhat forgiving at close range.  Whichever you choose, if you're going to use lead rounds, I would strongly suggest something from the Winchester lineup.
