I have a virtually stock 870SM that I plan on makeing my full blown turkey gun. I'm considering a blackhawk knoxx spec ops 2 stock or maybe a remington shurshot stock. What optic would you all reccommend a scope or a red dot. I just want somthing that allows me to sight the gun in for which ever shell patterns best. So far I've ordered a Rhino .660 choke but that is it. I'm open to any suggestions Thanks,
Jared
The two most popular red dots on here are the Burris FastFire II or III and the Mueller Quick Shot. Both are great sights. I personally just bought the Burris FF3 and think it is very nice.
I just shot my turkey gun for the first time this year since I put a scope on it. It has a 1.5-4.5x power range. I liked it a lot.
FFIII. Best turkey optic for the money, IMO.

I was going to have my gun drilled and tapped for a weaver style base. . . what and where can I buy the burris FFIII that will mount to a weaver base, or should I not put a weaver base on . . . what is the best mounting option for this FFIII?
