Title: 835 choke?
Post by: twild on February 17, 2013, 04:48:04 PM
With the H-13 rebates I'm going to try The 3 inch 7"s. I've been shooting a comp n choke for years, but cant use that. I've got the money for one choke. What should it be. Thanks

Stardot if you can find one, if not I had great patterns from a .670 Pure Gold.

You will likely get the tightest patterns with an Indian Creek Black Diamond .675 and they are readily available.  You can order direct from www.indiancreekss.com or from Bass Pro, Midway, etc.

x2 on the Sumtoy .675! I shoot a 22" barrel and you can find a pic of a 30yd pattern out of my 935 (same bore as 835) with 3.5 Hevi 13 #7s in the pattern section here on OG.

I'll save you some time, money and agony.  Ditch the Hevi-13 3" 2oz #7 idea and go with the 3.5" 2.25oz #7 loads instead.  They will shoot a lot better in the 835.

Buy this choke here.  TG151X (.670)

http://www.riflescopes.webyshops.com/Brands/Truglo-Choke-Tubes/TRUGLO-Strut-Stopper-Xtreme-Choke-Tube-Invector-TG156X

That's a 300+ shot 10 ring choke at 40yds.

I should of kept that choke.  I wonder what it would have done on a 70 degree day.  But at 45 degrees it out shot my Star Dot choke that day by quite a bit.
