Title: Anyone use sicamore for pot calls?
Post by: Swamp on February 15, 2013, 10:35:35 PM
Ive got a few pieces of sicamore with some light spalting I've been thinking of trying out. I know it's very light weight. Just wondering if anyone has used any before and what playing surfaces have y'all had the best of luck with?

I use it. I've had good luck making aluminum and glass calls. Haven't tried slate but I think that would come out good. I really like a sycamore striker for aluminum. You just have to make it more top heavy in order to get good vibration.
