Just ordered my girl a new gun and wondered which chokes and loads you guys had the best luck with. I have 10 boxes of fed hw7 already for the 870 . thanks, johnny

Ok...not too sure on the IC choke but I'm fairly CERTAIN they specifically tell you NOT to use their chokes for the FC wad loads UNLESS you have the model designed for them. If you do then my "insight" would be to go out and shoot them and see how they do. I run the HW 7's through a Carlson's non-ported .575 in my 870 20 gauge and there isn't a turkey that walks that would want to be within 40+ yards of me when I drop the hammer on him...
My choke is not ported, but I removed it from the previous post. I bought it used and questioned him about using the fed fc wads and he said I was good to go and with the patterns I'm getting he is right.
