I have a tru glo turkey choke and was reading the website on them and says they are designed to be usable with heavy shot but then says no steel shot, so I am guessing can't be used with heavy metal or can it.

I wouldn't shoot heavy metal through it.
Oh - and if you are considering hevi metal turkey loads - skip them and just go to the Hevi 13 in 6's, 7's or Mag Blends. Steel shot has no place in the turkey woods IMO.

The "no steel" really applies to large steel shot like that shot used for waterfowl hunting.
Thanks,
Clark
I spoke to Truglo a while back and they told me that all of there chokes are HTL safe. When they say steel they mean waterfowl steel shot.
