Title: Hevi shot reduced recoil?
Post by: Xcal1ber on February 05, 2013, 07:01:56 PM
Anybody plan on trying these out? I'd rather take the kick for more ounces of shot.

I am interested in seeing these.  They could be really good.  An example is Speer reduced recoil buckshot.  They made nine pellet buck eight pellet and the stuff is straight up amazing.  Patterns way better with one less pellet with milder recoil.

I think these will be great for kids, older hunters, and disabled hunters. Some of these individuals don't need the punishment of a full load. It will make shooting much more enjoyable for them and still get the same great results from HEVI-Shot

It crossed my mind to try some in the 20 ga offering but the 2.75" Fed 7s should be much better.

From what I can tell, all they did was reduce the payload.... Not the gun fuel pushing it.

If you're recoil sensitive, shoot a 20 ga.
