Thank you Rick for posting this Pheasantwood Trumpet caller. Rick and I were talking last week about his trumpet calls and he told me that he had made a good sounding trumpet from a piece of Pheasantwood. I didn't know much about his trumpet calls and had heard good comments from other callmakers so I told Rick to send the trumpet to me in Virginia. Anyway I just got this call a few days ago and he was right it talks some good hen turkeybird. It's easy to use and good yelps, clucks, and kee-kees come from this caller. Beautiful piece of timber too.
