Hey guys I'm in the market for a new call and I need some recommendations. I'm looking for a new custom slate or glass call and I was hoping you guys/gals could share a few quality call makers with me. Also, any contact information for them would also be appreciated.

Take a look at the Gooserbat friction calls for a good field grade custom call. They are not overly fancy, but sound good.
there are some good links on this site to find custom calls. Im actually going to order a glass call from AJ calls tomorrow. Pretty excited to get one.

You can never go wrong with Hooks. For the price and sound quality their classic slate has worked great for me. :anim_25:

Plenty of great call makers here. For a custom pot call, one of my favorites is Wendell Rye of Lightsout custom calls. He makes an excellent pot that will flat out talk turkey. Another one to check out is the hooks bronzed glass. It's proven to be a very deadly call in its own right.
I have killed birds with calls from Joe Slaton (Mother Lode), Gary Taylor (Stone Road Turkey Calls) and Hooks Custom Calls. All are excellent. I appreciate Joe and Gary's as works of art too.
I am going to add two more call makers to the great list, order a hot hen slate and small green glass from Lonnie Sneed and you will be more then happy. They are $20 a piece and well worth it. Scott Hembrook makes a bronze glass call he calls the death wish and it has great sound and is very reasonable also. There are so many great callmakers to choose from. For a more expensive call the crystal mistress or twisted sister calls from David Halloran are wicked. Scoot
What scoot said!!! He is dead on. Pot calls don't sound more like a turkey than the Hot Hen and smaller green glass from Mr. Sneed.
You came to the right place, this is THE HOME OF CUSTOM TURKEY CALLS!!! You will not find any better. Pick you out some calls and call the different callmakers and talk to them. But when you call make sure you do not have anything planned for half hour or so, cause they love to talk, about turkeys, turkey hunting and turkey calls. In my experience they do not try to push their calls on you and if you ask about another callmaker, they will give their opinion but will NOT say anything bad about them. They have CLASS!!! This is a GREAT PLACE!!! For what it is worth I really like Lights Out calls, give Wendell Rye a call if you have a chance. :z-guntootsmiley:
Check out Ghostmaker calls. I have a slate and a glass call from him and i love them. Great sounding call and a great guy to work with.
