My name is John Young. I live in Florida and I will be hunting osceolas.
I am a Christian man, been married for 22yrs and I have three children, all three are teenagers.
I have worked at the USPS for over 26yrs.
I have about 4 or 5 hunts set up for this year. I hunt public land, Quota hunts mostly, but was drawn for an area that allows less people and has lots of birds.
I use a Mossberg 535 with an SSX choke and shoot Hevi Shot, 3 1/2", #6 shot.
I look forward to meeting and hearing all about you guys and your hunts. We had a great team last year, and I expect it to be the same this year.
Jerry Courtney, I live in NE Kansas and hunt both easterns and rios. As of now have only hunts here at home planned, Texas is a possibility.
I am single with nothing but a bird dog, a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon naned Taz, who helps me chase a lot of waterfowl and upland birds.
I shoot a Missberg Silver Reserve
O/U with a SSX HD in top barrel and Wilson Precision IM in botton. I shoot 1 3/4oz hand loaded HW 15 #7. Look forward to another great year.

Mark Frantz 43 years old Married and a Diesel Mechanic for 27 years , i'm from Southern Indiana , i'll be Bird Huntin in Indiana , Kentucky , Illinois , West Virginia and Ohio all private land , I plan on using my Bowtech Invasion for all hunts unless things start to turn south for me then i'll bring out the heat , I've been seeing a lot of Birds out lately around here so i'm keeping my fingers crossed .
Did you hear that backwater, he said
BowTech
Mark I am glad you are on our team, We are going to get along just fine.
backwater is a mathews guy
I see that John. Lol. I think I read he was going to use his bowtech for a while and then switch over to his shotgun. If he had a Mathews he would of said that he WAS going to kill one with his bow. Just kidding, good luck with your bow and have a great season.
LOL.....don't forget that BOWTECH will be hunting 5 states ........mabe the 6th state I will let the gun kill one too so it doesn't get jealous ....... :fud:
Trevor James from East Tn
I shoot a remi 870 special purpose with a ssx choke and magblends
Be hunting easterns only this year and when I'm not hunting I'll be at the track racing.
My name is Evan Merrell and I am 26 married with 2 kids and from middle tn. I am a die hard turkey and deer hunter and i shoot a 870 super mag with federal 3.5 5 shots. I ain't the best but sure give it heck tryin. Good luck this season. :jesus-cross:
I'm working with my brother right now remodeling houses and drive right through a wma on my way. And since he don't get out of the bed before 8 or so maybe i can get a few quick ones done this year.
Good to meet you Evan. Welcome to the team. When does your season start?
Welcome to the team Evan.
There are some birds on public land, but there are a lot of hunters also. If you can get away from the other hunters you can get on some birds. Its a lot more work, but it is worth when you get one on an wma.
John

Stay away from my birds evan ;D Just kidding He actually put me on the bird I killed last year!

Name is Matt, live and hunt in Central kansas. Have access to 3-4 thousand acres of the best hunting land a man can dream of. Live for bow hunting. I WILL BE shooting my birds with my MATHEWS! lol. Within one mile of my home i have 3-400 birds that roost in various spots, every morning i walk out my back door to the sound of gobbles. Got my eye on several nice ground draggers this season. Season starts April 1st, and they have 14 days to avoid my arrows then they get a face full of lead
Nice to meet you, glad to have you on the team. Sounds like your gonna have a fun and hopefully eventful season.
Only negative thing I see is that your a Mathews guy, just make sure you let them get to within 15 yards before you shoot, lol.
John
Good to meet you Ksgoosekillr Welcome to the team. Sounds like you have a real nice chunk of land to hunt. Good to have another MATHEWS guy around. Lol.
My name is Brian Withers. I live in south central Kentucky. I have several good private spots to hunt and live near several thousand acres of public land. I am really hoping to kill one of the "triplets" on a buddy's farm this spring. Last deer season we saw the three biggest birds I have ever laid eyes on several times. Hopefully they are hanging around this spring. Looking forward to getting to know you guys and having a lot of fun this season.

Mathews man here too. i had shot pse and high country then my buddy was gettin rid of his switchback to buy an engagement ring and i got it cheap. i wont ever be able to shoot another bow i dont think. i tried the new mathews and it gonna be hard to get rid of the switchback. good to 55 yards but where i hunt its hard to get 30 yard shots off and i bow hunt through most the season since i in city limits but there is some giants in there and they aint pets once you get back in there wth them. i think they even smarter than other deer far as winding you because they are around humans so much.

spoken like a true blowtech fan! get em in close so if the arrow misses one of the many flying parts from your bow is bound to drop the bird lol
Brian nice to meet you and welcome to the team.
Looking forward to a fun and successful year for Strut Stoppers!
Hey Hoosier Daddy, I have been wanting to find another bowtech guy so I could ask them a question about his bow. Are all bowtechs loud? Just wondering. My buddies bow, let's call him "Jim ", is SO loud that I think I have even seen a 3D target flinch at the sound. I do not like to bring it up around him because he kind of gets paranoid. Lol.
And here we go.
I guess the BowTech and mathews bashing as begun.
Its like Ford and chevy. Everyone has there preference and opinions.
I will shoot against any mathews shooter with my 2006 Bowtech Allegiance.
Ray and I are actually passing up on a Rhine Hart 3D shoot this weekend to go scouting for turkeys.
If any you guys know about bows, I could use your help. I have a Martin PSA(Precision Sports Archery), it is white and blue with chrome cams. I acquired it after loaning a guy sone money. I know nothing of what I have.
Tomorrow I will be digging holes in the snow and shooting some snow geese.

I'll be the odd ball of the group. My Elite Z-28 is the best bow I've ever shot. I have owned several brands but my Z is one sweet shooter.

i havent ever shot a bow tech compound but the striker crossbow which i think the had part in is bad about the limbs cracking. i know of 2 and 1 was shot bout 50 times when it cracked. not spreading rumors but i seen both with my own eyes. the ol mathews has been shot no telling how many times and the only thing wrong with it is it needs a new string. oh well crossbows are for people who arent able to use a regular bow and big cry babies like timberjack 86
Elite makes a nice bow too.
Jarbo03 what are you trying to find out about you bow? You can prob look up the serial #s on line and find out more about it. The most important feature on a bow, as far as fitting the shooter, comfort ability and shooting your best is the DRAW LENGTH..
Everyone will have the opinion about which bow is the best, but in order to shoot any bow, it must fit the individual. Usually it is written some where on the limbs? Should say something like 70lb, 28 " draw,
let off 80%.
Martin made some decent bows, it sounds like a 3D bow.
my real name is terry joy

I am a sit and wait kind of turkey hunter myself. As long as I know birds are in the area, I prefer to just sit back and give him his time.
