Title: Interesting news from Hevi Shot Today
Post by: totallycluckedup on January 30, 2013, 01:31:33 PM
I've been looking high and low for some Hevi 13 shells with no luck.  I decided to call Hevi Shot today to find out when they will be shipping them out.  According to them, they are shipping some to Midway USA today and a few mom and pop stores.  However, according to them, most of the big box stores haven't ordered much so far.  I was told most stores are ordering the Heavy Metal Turkey loads instead...  Just thought I would pass the info along.

Wondering if their managed recoil loads will have something to do with this too?

It's early.  There will eventually be some shells around.  I see quite a bit of last year's stock out west here...

Check Rogers Sporting Goods site. They have some at a great price compared to other places that I've seen.

Midsouth Shooters Supply looks to have most choices in stock. I picked up a few boxes there last week. Great company to do business with too.

I just picked up the last two boxes of 3-2-6's that the local Scheels had.  They were on sale for $19.99, and there's currently a $10 per box rebate going on...

That's weird... I just checked midsouth and they are $24.79 a box... that sale must have ended quickly unless I'm doing something wrong

I think the difference in price between what BigHooks quoted ($17) and what you noted above is that BigHooks is referring to 20 gauge and you're referring to 12 gauge.

Nonetheless, I ordered several boxes of 20 gauge Hevi-13 3" 1-1/4 oz. #7 ($17.91) and also several boxes of 12 gauge Hevi-13 3 inch 2 oz. #6 Shot ($24.79) from MidSouth earlier this morning.

As with all ammo purchases nowadays, I'm crossing my fingers....

Midsouth runs a real time inventory on their website. If it was in stock when you ordered, you shouldn't have any problem.
