Title: Strikers
Post by: West Augusta on January 25, 2013, 09:09:15 PM
Shannon asked callmakers to post up some of their calls.
I don't make calls just strikers and it's been some time since I've
posted any here.

Snake wood is some pricey , and it is hard to find it in good quality and suitable sizes

That blank was 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 12" highly figured, so you can figure the cost.

Do it. There is nothing like calling in a gobbler with something you make.
And post some pictures. :TooFunny:

Mighty fine Steve. The strikers in the first picture look mighty familiar. They may be here at my house. I sure will not go hunting without one of your strikers in my vest. The Dogwood I got from you has been a part of many a gobbler that has come to the gun.

Good luck at Nashville. I bet you sell out over there. I need to get a few of those exotics when things settle down for you.

Did you ever try the Tuning Stick / Fork type like Neil Cost did with his swizzle stick. A small thin rod in the middle of your top?
