Title: Who makes a Rem 0.675 or 0.680...?
Post by: Full_Fan on January 23, 2013, 10:26:08 PM
I know is is far from a standard turkey choke constriction size, but does anybody know if any manufactures make a 0.675 or 0.680 for a remington 12ga?  The factory extra full rem choke is 0.687.  I know a few make the 0.670 but I would like to experiment with a 0.675 or 0.680.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you!

I found this 0.675 factory rem hevi-shot choke but can't find it advertised anywhere else and have never heard of it.  I don't know how legit it is...?

https://www.gunpartscorp.com/Products/835150.htm

Everything I have read is that the factory rem super full (lead only) is 0.665 and the extra full is 0.687.  Does anybody know if this is a true 0.675 factory rem choke?

I have one of the original Rem. factory chokes designed for Hevi-Shot. It is .675 dia. I believe Rem. stills makes a HTL choke and it's also .675 dia. My choke throws great patterns with the "old" Rem. 3.5" HV 1 3/4 ounce Hevi-Shot loads. The choke pictured at gun parts corp. website is the same as mine.

Wright's 1st generation Turkey Chokes have a .675 exit diameter. They were made form ETD 150-PH steel, non-ported and with a crowned muzzle. They have what amounts to a cult following with Federal Flitecontrol Wad shooters as well as TSS shooters.

That's a classic turkey choke but hard to find currently.

Thanks,
Clark

I've got one too. Throws great patterns with TSS through my 1187.
