Title: Redhead mount advise
Post by: Fatbeard on January 21, 2013, 09:10:15 PM
I shot a redhead and am needing some mount advise. They are very rare where I live and would really like a mount that shows him off. And advise or your favorite way to mount a duck would be very appreciative and it will give the small buisness man some work!lol here he is!

Flying, banking in, wings spread, with feet out.

like this but with the back facing you...belly towards driftwood.

Send him to Birdman Studios, and you'll be satisfied no matter what mount you choose.
Nice bird!
I have heard a lot about birdman. Will look into him Thanks

I always like redheads standing on a piece of driftwood. Alot of guys can't tell the difference between a redhead and a canny. I like it when the head is all fluffed up and pretty. JMO

I would really consider sending him off to Todd at Birdman Studios.  At the very least, check his site out for ideas, as he has tons of photos to look at.  He has mounted 6 ducks for me and I am about to mail him a Redhead.  Just went down to AL on the Gulf for a diver hunt and brought back a real nice Redhead.  Personally I am going to have him standing or sitting on a rock with muscles or oysters shell on it.  I like the Redheads either sitting or standing better than flying.
