Bird # 2- I am prett sure this was an Eastern-Osceola Hybrid. Long legs and the bars on the wings were muddled.

Killed one in Texas but he won't out do my previous entry. First time in 9 years I've only killed one bird there. The gobblers just had not moved down into the area we hunted...lucky to have gotten what I did

Scott make sure I did it right. I know the sigh says 1 3/8 on right spur but the camera angle makes it look like 1 5/16 so thats what we will go with.

Spurman...YOU ARE THE MAN!!

All our birds are important but this bump up with points may make a huge difference...What a great bird this is.  

6 birds entered and we're averaging 65 plus per bird

I should have had another one this weekend...missed at 23 steps......still not sure what I did other than baked in the sun for 5 hours and then got stupid....... I'm starting to think I'm choked too tight....just changed it this season

I killed a Merriams this weekend that scored a whopping 45 pts...hardly had any spurs...hunting was tough as apparently there ha s been a die off of birds...on the last afternoon my friend and I got on two gobblers and he shot both of em...22 and 23 pound gobblers......this made the hunt for both of us

Thought I'd get up to date on this months kills. I've taken 3 merriams none of which score well.

The Montana Merriams is at 45 ...the new Mexico Merriams score 43.1 and 42....great hunts and beautiful birds......just not anything we can use
