Title: SBE I Choke Tube
Post by: turkeyfuneral on March 03, 2011, 08:57:56 PM
Wondering if anyone can offer some advice. I've been going back and forth over what choke to purchase, either IC or Pure Gold. Wanted some pro/cons about any or both of these combos.

brl length 24"

thanks,

Nate

Hey Nate,

I've been shooting the SBE since 1991 and with a variety of different chokes over the years. I have a 24" barrel for mine as well as a couple of others. Everyone has a favorite brand of choke so you'll have many opinions and recommendations. The truth is most of them work very well and with the right shells, I recommend the 3" Hevi-13 "Bronze" shells with either 2 oz of #6 or #7 shot, they'll all do what you need them to do. Of the 2 you've mentioned, I'd go with the Pure Gold.

Thanks,
Clark

They like the Winchester Elite and small chokes.

Rhino .660 BUT, the forcing cone is lengthened and it has been ported.
