Title: Stoeger M3500
Post by: Xcal1ber on January 18, 2013, 03:00:15 PM
Hello all! New to the oldgobbler forum but not new to turkey hunting or forums for that matter. I have been reading around on here for the last few days and was wondering if the consensus view on the best shell/choke for the Stoeger M3500 is still the Hevi-shot shells and the hevi-13 choke? I think I seen where the 2oz of #6 shot in the 3 inch shell was good? Anyways I'm from Kentucky, and I love to hunt those hard headed eastern gobblers in the mountains! Thanks guys!

650 to 660 with HV13 7 should put you in the 280 plus range  :anim_25:

I just did a search on that gun there's 2 page's of info on it. looks like a Sum toy or hevi choke's the way to go. If I were you I'd go with the sum toy, just my opinion.

Yup SumToy or Hevi choke are the ticket with Hevy 7 or magblends in my 3500.
