New to the forum and new to florida and wanted to see how many florida guys were on the forum. Moved to st pete in sept of last yr after a 35 yr stint in the ozark mountains of Arkansas and look forward to chasing some of these swamp chickens around down here. Wouldn't mind meeting up with some guys and talking turkey and maybe hooking up on a hunt or two

Welcome to Florida...born and raised here in Tampa.
Welcome to the neighborhood  been in Pinellas county since 1967 and in St Pete since 1984. Even bagged a bird or two during that time. ;D
Welcome to florida. I'm born and raised in north central Florida. My 1st suggestion would be to invest in a theral cell and some snake boots. Good luck!

Welcome to Florida... Born and raised in Collier County down here in Naples. This guy gave great advice. A thermacell is an absolute must. Don't pass the info along, but I'd gladly pay $100 for one if that's what they cost. haha
Welcome....born and raised in Sanford, Fl...north of Orlando.
Welcome. Born and raised in St Lucie county.

I live in Oviedo, which is near Orlando. Thermacell and snake boots is right!! That is excellent advice!
Strut-stopper, welcome to Florida. I live across the state from you, in Middleburg (just south of Orange Park, which is just south of west Jacksonville). The Therma-cell is a must have and waterproof snake boot are highly recommended as already suggested. Enjoy Florida and the Osceola turkey hunting. :you_rock:
Welcome to the sunshine state! Get ready for a totally different kind of hunt. Brush so thick you can't move on birds half the time, not very vocal gobblers and limited hunting access with lots of pressure. It's tough but very rewarding. Good luck this season!

Welcome! I live in South Florida and hunt the South Florida swamps. This is tough hunting most anywhere. Good luck and scout a lot.
