Title: burris fastfire ll vs. fastfire lll
Post by: DirtNap647 on January 13, 2013, 07:57:40 AM
can someone tell me the differences between the two rather than battery location...and is the battery location a problem on the two having to resight it in and all...?

I have both. The 3 has an adjustable brightness and comes in a 3 or 8 MOA dot. The battery is on top, which is easier, but not that big of a deal. I changed batteries once per year, just to be safe. I don't remove the mount, just the sight and it was still sighted in after I replaced it. I would still shoot to verify though.

I have used both, and I find the FFIII easier to sight in due to click adjustments for windage and elevation instead of the lock screws on the FFII.
I have an FFIII on my 835 and love it!

They covered all of the differences.  I like the the 3 but I'm still using the 2 on most everything that has a red dot on it.
