Well the mail man just delivered my trumpet from pappy. I'm here in my office so I just took it out of the box. It took me about 1 to 2 minutes to figure out how to make a noise. It then took about 30 seconds or less for the receptionist's Jack Russel, (who stays under her desk) to come out howling and barking... hahaha... I better practice.
Actually it's not too bad. I went out to the parking lot and gave it a few tries... I have moments of brilliance surrounded by moments of not so brilliant... haha... I just need to get consitent with it
Learning to make a noise is one of the hardest parts of running a trumpet. Next step? Goose calls. From there, just lower the amount of air and you should be getting there.
