Title: Shadow Box for Turkey Fan, Spurs, Beard, and Picture?
Post by: HoggleGobble on January 03, 2013, 10:50:07 AM
I killed a nice 4 year old with Eddie Salter last year, and am wanting to get a shadow box fan mount done for it. I cut the tail off, and put it in the freezer with the feet and beard. I am wanting to do something with it, but haven't till now. Does anybody know of anyone I can ship it too? I want the best I can get, I know they can be pricey. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Depending on what you are looking for, ae., rustic, classic, french provencial...etc., I would check out a place called Hobby Lobby, they are online. I have seen many boxes in there over the years, I have made some myself, but wouldn't like to take on a new challange right now. You could pick up some nice Peruvian Walnut and make one yourself, think about the pleausre of looking at your completed work holding that prized tail and accessories.....pappy

Check out this website:

This is Craig Corbett (cornbread) and his wife Casey's website.  Craig has made some incredible air operated calls and has a patent on the "strumpet" call.  His shadow boxes are awesome.

I don't think Craig is making them now. My boss had something similar made at Hobby Lobby and it was about $300 each. I am looking for supplies to make my own.

Check out the Turkey Roost near Kirksville, MO. They have a website and facebook page. Family run operation and they are good at what they do.
