Title: MN Turkey Hunting Question
Post by: roosterbrews on March 03, 2011, 01:38:19 PM
I did not get a permit in the Lotto but I understand that the 4th and 5th week you can just buy the license.  Anyone know when they go on sale the DNR website doesn't show a date.
Thanks

You can only buy permits that weren't drawn for weeks E and F. Weeks G and H are over the counter tags. Go to the dnr website and look up surplus permits under turkey hunting.

march 16 is when  the surplus go on sale

Half right.... I'd hate for  roosterbrews to take your word and then miss out!!

Surplus (or undersubscribed) turkey hunt licenses are available to hunters who applied in the 2011 turkey lottery drawing but were unsuccessful. Surplus licenses will go on sale beginning March 14, 2011, at 5:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, March 16, at 12 p.m. the remaining surplus licenses and the G and H permits will go on sale for anyone who does not already have a license, even if they did not apply for the 2011 spring turkey lottery. All turkey hunters are restricted to one permit for the 2011 spring season.
