Title: Eastern Montana
Post by: Improvinghunter101 on December 29, 2012, 11:33:29 AM
Hey guys!  I'm planning a turkey trip to Eastern Montana.  My father has always wanted to go there and turkey hunt so this year my brother and I gave him a Christmas present of an all-expense paid trip to Montana.  We will be traveling with as somebody will need to help the old man get around. haha.  Just wondering if the oil boom in North Dakota has trickled over to the central eastern side of Montana?  My uncle has hunted there a couple times before, but was wanting to make sure that it hasn't got caught up in it before we make hotel arrangements.  Any advice would be much appreciated.  Thanks guys

I have a friend that travels to Sydney MT about every year to hunt pheasant. He said that it is like a totally different place now due to the oil industry.

If you are going to the SE portion of the state you will not have any problems.

Thanks for the replies guys.  My uncle use to hunt around Wibaux.  It's about 70 miles south of Sydney.   I'm hoping for the best
