has anybody or does anybody hunt with the h&r single 3 1/2'' if so what kind of patterns do you get this is strait full not screw in choke

Have never tried it but think you could go with the Fed FCW. Some of the shells like Nitro or TSS would work better but you have more in shells then gun.

I had one back in the mid 90's. First off mine kicked like  mad Missouri mule. At the time there was not much if any HTL loads. I tried Win. 2.25oz #5 and #6, and Fed. #5 and #6 3" and 3.5". It shot fair not great. I used it as my rainy day gun a few years then sold the gun to someone that wanted it more than me. I don't remember the pattern numbers but I do remember that mt 870 with 3" 2oz #6's shot way better and I didn't need to put my arm in a sling after i shot it. I agree with SumToy tho i bet the Fed. FCW might be very good with the old mule "that was what i named mine". Good luck, you might wanna invest in a lead sled.

lol it dont kick that bad,,,i have a nova thaT KICKS WORSE WITH 3 1/2'S
