Title: CHOKE RECOMMENDATION FOR BROWNING SILVER/3.5" MAG BLENDS???
Post by: SKFOOTER on December 07, 2012, 04:53:27 PM
I just purchased a Browning Silver w/26" barrel and want to set it up for turkey hunting using the 3.5" MagBlends.  Anyone using this combo or have recommendations on brand and choke size??   :OGturkeyhead:

Hey Keith,

First of all, congratulations. That's a great gun and the 26" barrel should give you great patterns. A lot of hunters are having great results with the Hevi-13 Turkey Choke with the Magnum Blend shells (3" & 3.5") through that gun and others with the Invector+ barrel.

It's a very well made choke and has developed quite a following in the last couple of years. It's also reasonably priced for a high quality turkey choke.

Thanks,
Clark

The primos jellyhead has given me great patterns out of my Browning gold.

I have a SX3 that is basicly the same gun. I am shooting 3" MagBlends with a Kicks .670 choke. I'm getting 253 hits average. It's almost to tight for the terrain I hunt. I am going to try a .675 or .680. The .670 contains the whole load in a 20" circle.
