I have a FEI 20 ga. single shot that i am considering for a project to apply vinyl, self adhesive camo from a kit ordered over the internet. Mossoak and Camoclad both have them at a reasonable price, and have videos on the internet showing applying and/or taking the camo off. Cost is around $25, it looks easy and doesn't leave a residue (that's the claim anyway). Therefore, its well worth a try on this "extra" shotgun.
Anyone have any experience with these or other kits?
What are some other kits that are recommended if not these?
years ago I used some u have to pull it off at the end of season or u will get rust and it starts getting hard to get off. why don't u try paint for a perm. fix lots of utubes on how to do this, or can get it dipped for a prof. job
Put it on my 835s optics and was very satisfied with it. Have thought about doing it to my 11-87 but have not yet.
Unless they have come out with something new in the last few years I would not recommend it. The vinyl stuff I have seen is hard to work with and just as glossy as your bluing. The cloth stuff will let moisture thru and it will rust under the tape. And they do leave behind residue. It will need to be cleaned down with alcohol or other solvent after taking it off.
I used one from camoclad.com and am pleased with the result.

Your BPS looks impressive! Am interested in the prep work you did. Difficult/time consuming?
