Title: Duck Hunt 10/27
Post by: TRKYHTR on October 27, 2012, 06:16:49 PM
My son and I killed our limits of ducks and 3 geese today. I killed my first duck using one of my turned duck calls. It was an all around great day in the field.

Nice! Our season doesn't start for another month, but I'm getting pumped seeing some fresh kill pics.

We killed 2 pintail, 3 gadwall, 4 widgeon, 2 green wing teal and 3 spoonies. If we knew early on that it was going to be that good we would not have killed the spoonies. I killed the prettiest drake widgeon that I ever have. He is the one directly in the center of the pic. His white patches on his wings looked like snow.

I kept the Ross goose and am going to mount it. It was beautiful. I think my son already has the widgeon cleaned and in the freezer.
