Title: Since Some Seasons Are Starting
Post by: ILIKEHEVI-13 on March 02, 2011, 08:03:02 PM
I wanted to take the time to wish each and everyone of you a great turkey season.  Have fun and please be safe.  Remember to always be 100% sure of what you are shooting.  Please be safe getting your gun out and putting it back in your vehicle.  A lot of accidents happen at this point.  It's better to just leave your gun unloaded in the vehicle.  Pack your gun safely and point the barrel in a safe direction.  Tell your buddy(s) to do the same.  And please by all means know where your buddy(s) are going to be hunting and the same goes for them knowing where you will be hunting.  And by all means please do not shoot on sound because you hear or see a bush move.  Know for certain it's a gobbler you are shooting at.  And if another hunter stumbles upon your setup, by all means yell if you feel your safety is in jeopardy and he starts getting too close.  Please do not flap your arms.  Remember it's better to come back home alive than to end up as a statistic.

If people would just take the time and think, a lot of the accidents could be eliminated.  I hope nationwide that this season is the safest on record.  Remember zero accidents is the goal.  And by all means no fatalities.  And it can be achieved if we remember this.  When in doubt concerning safety, don't do it.
