Title: Joined the 20 gauge club
Post by: ssramage on March 02, 2011, 07:25:46 PM
I recently had a NEF Pardner 20 gauge reworked and have to say I've been very impressed with it so far. Here's the gun and pattern results with Hevi 6s and a Carlson extra full turkey choke. If anyone has a similar set up I'd be interested in hearing if there's any ammunition that would improve my results in this gun.

I agree.

The picture cuts the end of the barrel off but i assume there is no choke and  you are using the factory full barrel?

Edited: Sorry, I overlooked the choke you listed.

That's a good pattern. You should give the Fed HW #7's a try. That extra full choke should do really good with them.

I would try a couple of different #7 loads i think you will be happy with the results.

At what distance was this pattern shot please?

That target was shot at 40 yds.

I'm thinking of trying out the Federal Heavweight 7s to see if I can do better.
