Yesterday I was mowing the yard & then raking it when my herniated and my bulging discs in my back started to spasm. went to my chiropractor & had him try to fix me. He did his best and sent me to the ER for pain meds. I have percocet, flexerol, and skelexan. Needless to say I have not felt any pain since but am extremely tired. My doctor told me that it looks like I wont be able to chase the turkeys on Oct 20 (first day in NY) and my wife laughed and said that she did not know me very well. I will be out there guaranteed. Now for the good news, my boss just called me & told me congratulation's b/c I had gotten my promotion ( a $7/hr pay raise). My wife just told me that for a reward she doesn't care if I buy a new turkey gun. any suggestions. I was thinking of a Remington 1187 or a Winchester SX3 (don't know if I want to spend that much). Do any of you guys use any of these and if so how do you like them?
Your back sounds like mine. I got rid of my 11 87 cause of the weight.Find something lighter.
Good guns both, but handle them a while to see which feels best to you.

I'm a 11-87 fan, but the winchester is a good gun too.

First of all, take care of that back. You've only got one and it's gotta last! Secondly, congratulations on the promotion! Thirdly, your wife's reaction says so very much about your character; obviously you have your priorities in the right place for a wife to be so generous & understanding and giving back to you like this!
