Title: A Roosted Elk!
Post by: culpeper on September 27, 2012, 12:29:30 PM
Well, I got your attention anyway...but this is a parquet call with Walnut over Yellow Poplar and Padauk spacers/inlay and Oak burl end blocks.  This one will stay close to home for a hunter who is the chairperson for one of our local NWTF chapters.  He also happens to be a huge Elk hunter and belongs to the RMEF too.  Didn't get time to make a video for this since it rained yesterday and I had to deliver it early this am.  Though you may not agree, my favorite part is the tree the gobbler is roosted in.  I had fun making it look like an old gnarly white oak in the fall--thus the pictures reflect this wonderful season we are now experiencing here in the northeast.  Thanks for lookin.
