Title: Call Makers FRAUD ALERT!
Post by: bbcustomboxcalls on September 24, 2012, 04:42:01 PM
Hey guys,  I received an email alerting me that someone was posting a picture of a couple of my calls for sale on ebay.
Doesn't sound like a problem at first so I went on ebay to check it out.  Well the picture was of my calls but it was a picture I took and posted on another forum about 5 years ago.  This guy is saying that he made these calls and that they are signed and numbered by him.  This is false because I kept those two call for my personal use.  So he is trying to sell something he doesn't have.
Does anyone know of a (so-called callmaker) that goes by the name 3ggamecalls in Trumansberg, N.Y.
I would be greatful for any information about this individual.
I believe he has some other calls for sale (those may NOT BE HIS EITHER)
Just wanted to let all call makers know that there is someone out there like this.

I will post this on the Call Making section to make sure everyone reads this.

Dang Bill, I hate to hear that.  Your calls are so unique there is no mistaking them.  Have you notified Ebay?

Skeeterbait,  Yes I have notified ebay.  They seem to be a little slow to respond.
I just want to make sure no one buys whatever it is he's selling because they certainly aren't my calls!

Did you contact the seller and tell him those were your calls and that you have contacted ebay. Maybe he will pull them off ebay before somebody gets taken.

I went and took a look, the difference between a chicken coop builder and an artist, is so evident, I see your talent shining on those two box calls and his.....well.....I think I see chicken poopoo inside the paddle...lol

Those calls were made by you no doubt.  He does seem to imply he made them.  No returns, no feedback, member for only 3 months.  Looks real suspect for sure.

Unfortunately,  ebay is oftentimes a favorite method for the more childish types to exact harassment and aggravation on somebody they perceive as a strong sales threat or rival, years ago it was more common , the goal is to wear you down, stress you out....

Its probably some fake account because of the    (0) transaction history

The following is my question to the seller and his reply.

Dear pooh5118,

Nice box calls. Do you have a web site where I could see your other calls.Do you hand make all your calls ?

His answer.
he does not have a web site yet . yes everything he sells are built in his shop personaly.some may look simular to other builders , but there very differnt in side. he makes box, friction, wind, friction for deer, duck, crow, turkey, squeral, rabbitt, goose, elk , preditor call. his email is 3ggamecalls@gmail.com

I saw this thread and went to the link and asked the seller if he was a fraud. I had no dog in this hunt, but I can't stand a crook and a thief. I hope you get the result that you desertve.

Well I have some pretty good clout with ebay.  I just filed a fraud report on this guy as well to help speed things up a bit.  Ebay knows me pretty well.  Hopefully they will get rid of this listing and this guy.
