Caught this carp today on an ultralite rod & reel with 6 lb test ! Over a 20 min battle .

38 lbs. 8 oz. 47" Long

Yes sir if you eat carp that is definateley a lot of fish sticks. Nice catch on an ultra light. :TooFunny:

Carp that size are a lot of fun to shoot with the bow. I definitely wouldn't be eating it though.

Looks like he was pleased as punch to get it. I've always heard that if you know how to cook them, they are good. I just never cared to learn how to cook them. ;)

I smoked one last year and it was great. Cut the head off, gutted it and split it in half. Laid each half in the smoker scales down. Sprinkled a little brown sugar on each half smoked about 4 hours. The Mrs. ate more than I.
